The congregation of Greenwell Street belongs to the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a denomination of Reformed heritage with nearly 500 congregations in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. The congregation has its origin in the Revival of 1859 and the current meeting house was built in 1970
Our minister is Rev Norman McAuley who was installed in September 2004. Our Assistant is Rev Michael McClenahan. Additional pastoral support is also provided by members of the congregation.
The central focus of our Worship is through the Sunday Services. There is a tradition of a Reformed, Evangelical ministry. Both services are based around the exposition of God’s Word.
The Presbyterian Church in Ireland holds the Westminster Confession and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as its statements of faith. These provide both the church and the world with a clear statement of what we believe.
